Emirates Airline flight EK521 arriving from Thiruvananthapuram, India has crash landed at Dubai International Airport, it was confirmed on Wednesday August 2.
No details have yet been released but photos on social media appear to show a plane on a runway with a plume of smoke coming from it, reports sister publication Arabian Business.
Dubai Media Office said in a statement on Twitter that the plane was coming from India and had crash-landed at Dubai International Airport. It added that passengers were evacuated "without reports of any injuries so far".
It added: "Concerned Authorities at Dubai International Airport are dealing with the incident at the moment to ensure safety of all."
An Emirates spokesperson said on the airline's official Twitter feed: "Emirates can confirm that an incident happened at Dubai International Airport on August 3 at about 12.45pm local time."
