Burj Rafal Hotel Kempinski Riyadh has announced two new appointments.
Juan Uribe is the new general manager of the hotel and Patrick Butscher is the new executive assistant manager.
Uribe brings more than 30 years of hospitality experience to the role, and joined Burj Rafal Hotel Kempinski from his most recent position as regional general manager and director of operations (hospitality division) at Al Hokair Group in Riyadh.
His hospitality career began in 1988, when he joined Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts as assistant executive housekeeper. He worked his way up, being promoted to assistant general manager in 2003, and then general manager at Le Méridien Eko Hotel & Suites in Nigeria in 2007.
Later that same year. Uribe joined InterContinental, holding various general manager roles in Guatemala, Republic of Eritrea, Mauritius and Kenya.
He joined Millenium Erbil in 2011 and then worked at the Millenium property in Basra, Baghdad, before moving to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to manage Four Points by Sheraton, as of March 2012.
The hotel's new EASM, Butscher, started his career with Kempinski two years ago when he took on the role of director of food and beverage.
Prior to this he had worked for 15 years in the hospitality industry, across India, the Middle East, Asia and Europe.
During this time he held different managerial positions in F&B for Hyatt and InterContinental, including EAM in charge of F&B, director of F&B and assistant director of F&B.
