Dubai Festival City Mall has revealed that it expects to offer a total of 50 dining outlets, by the end of 2016, with new venues currently opening in the mall between the month of August and the end of the year.
Among the new F&B options lined up at the mall are several American brands, including the UAE debut of The Sugar Factory and Serendipity 3.
The Sugar Factory, which is apparently frequented by celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Drake, Kylie Jenner and Eva Longoria in the US, is famed for signatures such as the 12 scoop King Kong ice cream sundae and the dry ice packed “Smoky Goblet”. In the USA, Serendipity is well known for its “frozen hot chocolate” as well as its elaborate ice cream sundaes.
Other US brands expected to open in the mall include The Cheesecake Factory, Joe’s Crab Shack, California Pizza Kitchen, Texas Roadhouse, Smashburger, Bareburger and Totilla. Bareburger is described in a statement by the mall as serving “organic fare for health nuts”.
Commenting on the new F&B openings, Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate director of shopping centres Steven Cleaver said: “We are really excited about the new restaurants at Dubai Festival City Mall, as we are bringing some authentic American dining to Dubai. We currently host Hard Rock Café, which is still the only one in the region.
"Another exciting and unique addition to our American dining mix is The Sugar Factory, which has recently made a debut in the Middle East, and that I’m confident will be incredibly popular amongst our customers who will finally get to know what the celebs in the US have been raving about!”
