Craster focuses on modular system for chefs

At The Hotel Show 2016, retail, restaurant and hospitality supplier Craster is highlighting its Flow Range to appeal to chefs.

Flow is a modular display system, built around a gastronorm sizing. The range has two sub-divisions: Rustic (oak) and Refine (walnut), which have been ethically sourced, as Middle East sales manager Dennis George told Hotelier Middle East.

He continued to say that the system was developed after the company received multiple requests from chefs for such a product.

George noted: “It starts with trays which are all catering-size fits, so we have 1 by 1, 1 by 2, and there’s a sliding system. This helps in two ways: different options of set-up, and two, stacking.”

Frames are also offered where trays can be slotted in via grooves, along with stands within the range. “With a limited number of items, you can do an unlimited number of display systems,” he said.

George added: ‘And the best part about this system is that you could start small and depending on when you have budget, you can keep adding to it.”

The USP of the Flow range, George revealed, is the trolley which is a mobile display unit. This can be used as an island buffet, a juice station, a carving station, or even a coffee station.

“It’s like a Lego system for chefs,” George concluded.
