Assa Abloy Hopsitality has debuted a new version of its VingCard Essence lock at The Hotel Show Dubai 2016, which takes places this week, until September 19.
The product debuts in Dubai for the first time in the Middle East, ahead of its official launch date of October 1, 2016.
According to marketing associates from Assa Abloy Hospitality, the VingCard Essence is currently being used by an estimated 150,000 plus rooms worldwide.
Within the UAE, the Aloft Hotel Abu Dhabi is the first property to have installed this technology, with future properties in the pipeline, a spokesperson from Assa Abloy Hospitality told Hotelier during The Hotel Show Dubai 2016.
The updated product features a new design, as well as new technology features. New features include wireless online capabilities in conjunction with the new addition of Assa Abloy Hospitality mobile access capabilities. This allows guests to access their rooms using a smartphone or watch via a digital access key.
The new VingCard Essence also features improved reading distance of smart phones from the lock’s censor.
