Qatar Tourism opens office in New York

The Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) has opened its newest office location in New York marking its seventh office location worldwide.

The newly opened New York QTA office aim to enhance QTA’s on-the-ground presence and capabilities in the US, according to local media.

The office plans on using marketing strategies to present the country to tour operators, travel agencies, hospitality partners, media and consumers, in addition to introducing and developing awareness and knowledge of Qatar as a travel destination.

According to the QTA chief marketing & promotions officer Rashed Al Querese, the number of US arrivals in Qatar during 2015 totalled 93,174 , nd by the end of June 2016 had already reached 50,243 visitors.

Presently, there are 11 daily flights from 10 United States gateways, reports TraveAgentCentral.

Qatar’s US marketing campaign will cover promotional initiatives including workshops, sales visits, travel agents’ e-learning TAWASH destination training, tour operator partnerships, and familiarisation trips and media campaigns.
