BurJuman Arjaan by Rotana organised an entire day of activities to celebrate its housekeeping colleagues on the occasion of International Housekeeping Week (Septemebr 13–17, 2016).
The hotel's general manager, Ulrike Andorff, said in a statement: “The housekeeping team plays one of the most integral parts of any hotel. Their continual efforts, hard work and daily passion are just a few key factors that keep our valued guests coming back every time."
“We rely on them to not only clean and monitor each of our 148 suites according to the Rotana standard, but the housekeeping team is responsible for so much more. Taking some time to appreciate them and plan an interactive exciting day was so essential in order for us to show them that their efforts do not go unnoticed,” Andorff said.
Throughout the course of the day, various department heads helped their colleagues to strip rooms and get them ready for guests.
In the evening, all the housekeeping colleagues participated in games and activities and took to the stage to showcase their talents in the BurJuman Arjaan Housekeeping Olympics.
In addition to the gifts and prizes distributed to the winners, Palmer’s also sponsored a gift hamper for all the housekeepers.
