Al Habtoor City Hotel Collection has appointed Radwa Safwat as complex director of marketing and Marianne Albalkhi as complex director of human resources for The St. Regis Dubai, W Dubai – Al Habtoor City and The Westin Dubai, Al Habtoor City.

With 18 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, Safwat began her career at the Conrad Cairo, where she was part of the pre-opening team, and remained with the hotel for eight years.

She then transitioned to the Shangri-La Qariyat Al Beri in Abu Dhabi before joining Emaar, where she held successive positions, including director of F&B marketing for Emaar Hospitality, director of communications for Vida Hotels and Resorts and most recently, heading the marketing division of Emaar entertainment.

Safwat said: "I’m excited to join Al Habtoor City Hotel Collection at a time when W Dubai – Al Habtoor City and The Westin Dubai, Al Habtoor City have opened doors, and with The St. Regis Dubai soon to complete its first year of operations.

"All three hotels are uniquely positioned within Al Habtoor City and offer something very different and special to all residents of and travellers to the UAE. There is a lot to work with and I am looking forward to this wonderful challenge."

Albalkhi started her GCC hospitality career as pre-opening HR & integration manager at the Fairmont Makkah in Saudi Arabia, having previously worked for more than 10 years in various Fairmont properties across Canada, the USA and the UK.

She has been based in the UAE for the last six years, firstly as associate director, talent development & HR administration for two years at Atlantis, The Palm.

For the past four years, Albalkhi held the position of director of human resources at Fairmont Bab al Bahr in Abu Dhabi.
