Millennium & Copthorne, Middle East and Africa has soft opened the Bab Al Qasr in Abu Dhabi, which forms part of the group's luxury portfolio The Biltmore Collection.
The architecture and interior design is inspired by Arabian culture, and the property follows the opening of the collection's first hotel in Tbilisi, Georgia.
The hotel comprises 677 guest rooms, suites and residences, and Millennium & Copthorne, Middle East & Africa president and CEO Ali Hamad Lakhraim Alzaabi said in a press statement; “We are delighted to strengthen our presence in the UAE with the opening of our flagship hotel in Abu Dhabi."
He added: "As a thriving cultural, commercial and leisure hub, we believe there continues to be a strong demand for high-end hospitality in the city and we are confident that Bab Al Qasr will resonate with global travellers and the region’s social elite."
The hotel will also offer events and conference facilities, including 16 meeting rooms and a ballroom.
With over 30 properties in the pipeline, and one hotel currently opening every month, the group is on track to have 100 hotels by 2020.
