Il Borro, the Tuscan estate owned by the Ferragamo family, is launching its first venture outside of Italy; Il Borro Tuscan Bistro Dubai.
Located within Jumeirah Al Naseem, Madinat Jumeirah’s latest addition, Il Borro Tuscan Bistro Dubai is set for a December opening.
Il Borro in Tuscany is an estate stretching over 700 hectares, with a medieval village having been converted into a five-star Relais and Chateaux resort in which the Tuscan Bistro is located.
This restaurant is supplied by produce from the Il Borro estate, including organic wines, olive oil, honey and a bio-farm.
Located on the Turtle Lagoon within the Al Naseem property, Il Borro Tuscan Bistro Dubai will offer Tuscan-inspired food, and is headed by the brand's executive chef Andrea Campani, who will work alongside the resident executive chef Maurizio Bosetti.
The seasonal menu offerings will be created from produce grown and brought in from Il Borro’s farms.
A fresh display counter is on view at the entrance with a range of fresh fish, aged meat and a selection of fine cheeses. Cold starters, such as burrata to tartares, can be freshly prepared to order at the counter.
The central bar area has a view of the Turtle Lagoon and Arabian Sea, and offers signature cocktails infused with Tuscan ingredients.
The restaurant also offers a private dining room with a dedicated cooking station for a bespoke menu, served directly to the table.
Salvatore Ferragamo said in a press statement: "The Ferragamo family and I are excited to bring a piece of the Il Borro Tuscan estate to a discerning Middle East audience.
"We look forward to treating the UAE to a taste of true Tuscan authenticity where organic, sustainable and ethically grown produce and a commitment to hand-craftsmanship is at the heart of everything we do, from our menu to warm Italian hospitality."
The restaurant will be open daily from noon until 1am.
