The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, Abu Dhabi has relaunched 55&5th The Grill restaurant, with a new menu, chef and entertainment.

Inspired by the address of the original St. Regis New York, the resort’s signature restaurant will be entering the “Big Band Era” with the arrival of the new South African resident band, The Jade Trio.

“We’ve created a new and exciting dining concept for 55&5thThe Grill, our flagship restaurant, in which the entertainment is as important as the culinary offerings.

"With our recently appointed resident band, Jade Trio Band and chef de cuisine, Manuel Olveira, we look forward to creating an engaging dining experience for our guests and set a newstandard for fine dining in the UAE’s capital,” said St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, Abu Dhabi hotel manager Marwan Fadel.

The new menu offerings are created by Olveira, who joined the property in March.

Prior to this role, he worked at the restaurant by Michelin-starred chef Sergi Arola in JW Marriott Mumbai. He also worked with Arola in Madrid, and prior to that in Toledo, Spain at Bohio, another Michelin-starred venue.
