Rosewood Hotel Group has appointed Hicham Hassouni as vice president – development, Middle East.
Hassouni will be located in Dubai, UAE, and is tasked with further expanding the group’s footprint in the regions by securing new properties for the company’s three brands: Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, contemporary deluxe New World Hotels & Resorts and neighbourhood lifestyle pentahotels.
Hassouni has more than 15 years experience in hotel development in Middle East markets.
During this time, he spent eight years in Dubai in senior positions including as vice president of development, Middle East & Africa at Fairmont Raffles Hotels International; senior director of development, Middle East at AccorHotels Group; and vice president of hotels, Middle East & Africa at Jones Lang LaSalle.

Previously, he was senior manager and member of the executive committee at Colliers International in Morocco, establishing the company’s real estate and hospitality advisory business unit.
He began his career as financial auditor with KPMG in France after graduating from NEOMA Business School with a master’s degree in management.
