Etihad Airways has launched a leisure and spa facility at the Al Jazeera crew building in Abu Dhabi to encourage staff to work out, socialise and relax.

Fit2Fly offers the Etihad cabin crew, including the 600 flight attendants who live in the building, two gyms, a large outdoor swimming pool, squash courts, a multipurpose pitch for football, cricket and tennis and a branch of the Sharanis Spa.

As well as the health and wellness facilities, Fit2Fly features two large lounges with wifi and internet access, plasma TVs, sofas and a Moka Cafe.

Cabin crew can even enjoy a spa manincure and pedicure while watching their favourite TV programmes in the lounges.

Fit2Fly crew club manager Michelle Johnson said: “Since opening the new Fit2Fly crew club it has quickly become a key element in the day-to-day lives of cabin crew living in the Al Jazeera building. Being a member of cabin crew can be very demanding, so they certainly relish the chance to unwind and stay healthy in the luxuriously-appointed club.
