Anantara The Palm's food festival returns

Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort has kicked off a week-long food festival, with celebrity chefs and a host of culinary events, including cooking demonstrations and masterclasses.

Australian chef Tom Walton, Xavier Caille, who is the world’s oyster shucking champion, Prin Pulsok and two Michelin starred chef Claudio Sadler will be in attendance.

“After last year success, we are delighted to announce Anantara Gourmet Festival 2016, a gastronomic feast awaiting all food lovers in Dubai," commented Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort general manager Jean-Francois Laurent.

Among the events is a demo from Caille, who can shuck 30 oysters in two minutes and 40 seconds, which includes the chance to sample a selection of oysters from around the world. This takes place on October 25, 28 and 29 from 12.30pm-3pm and 7pm-10pm at The Beach House, and on October 27 from 7pm-10pm at Bushman’s Restaurant & Bar.

In addition, on October 28, The Fork & Cork Brunch will feature Caille, Walton and mixologist Roberto Cuda at interactive stations.

Sadler is offering a five-course dinner at The Beach House on October 26 from 7.30pm-11pm and an Italian master cookingclass at the same venue on October 27 from 7.30pm -11pm.

Meanwhile, Walton is serving beef with an indigenous Australian twist on October 2, from 7.30pm-11pm as well as the 'Saturday Lazy Lunch' on October 29, from1pm – 4pm at Bushman’s Restaurant & Bar.
