Salalah Rotana gets executive assistant manager

Simon Azizi has joined Salalah Rotana Resort armed with two decades of experience within the hospitality industry.

Completing 13 years of service with Rotana Hotel Management Company, Azizi joined as restaurant manager in 2003.

He then occupied managerial positions within the company’s hotels in Beirut, Khartoum and Erbil.

Prior to taking up the position in Salalah, Azizi served as director of food and beverage at the Erbil Rotana, Iraq.

Salalah Rotana Resort general manager Hossam Kamal said: “It’s a pleasure to have Simon join us at Salalah Rotana Resort."

“He is a great addition to the team, with his vast knowledge of hotel operations especially in food and beverage. I am confident he will implement strategies and lead the teams to achieve the resort’s target,” Kamal said.

Azizi stated: “The team in Salalah has worked very hard with a proven track record since the resort’s opening in 2014. I embrace the challenges that come with the position and look forward to contributing my skills towards the resort’s success’."

Azizi has a Bachelor and Masters of Science in Hotel Management from Barrington University of America and Ravenhurst University Amsterdam respectively.

In his new role, he will oversee the resort’s operational departments ensuring high performance in guest satisfaction and colleague welfare.
