Abu Dhabi's National Corporation for Tourism and Hotels (NCTH) has picked Marriott to run its Saadiyat Island hotel under the Ritz-Carlton brand.
The new luxury hotel on Saadiyat Island will feature more than 300 rooms, villas and chalets and a beach front area of 95,000m2, according to Arabian Business.
The agreement was signed by NCTH chairman Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan and Marriott International president and managing director Middle East & Africa Alex Kyriakidis.
The statement said the new hotel "will provide some of the finest facilities offered in the hospitality industry" without giving further details.
The Saadiyat hotel project is one of three developments that NCTH is undertaking.
The company statement did not give details of when the property would open.
