Warwick Dubai has appointed a new director of food and beverage, Rohinton Bharucha.
With 20 years’ experience in hospitality, Bharucha began his career as an F&B coordinator.
He moved from his native India to Dubai in 2001 and since then has worked in the F&B departments of various hotels, including Versailles Hotel, Metropolitan Palace Hotel (part of the Habtoor Hotel Group) and Sofitel City Centre Hotel and Residence.
In 2005, Bharucha joined Bin Hendi Hospitality, where he worked as assistant brand manager, in charge of over 20 outlets across nine brands. Then in 2010 he joined Daoud & Partners Catering Services as general manager. Here he headed up a 200-strong culinary team in three different kitchens that produced in excess of 45,000 meals each day
After 12 years in Dubai, Bharucha moved back to India in 2013, where he worked as general manager of operations for Yellow Banana Food Company, overseeing 22 restaurants in Mumbai.
After two more years in Mumbai, working as the general manager of Bombay Gymkhana and then director of operations at Good Food Concepts, Rohinton decided to move back to the UAE to take up the position of F&B director for Warwick Dubai.
“Rohinton’s experience is extremely admirable and will really help boost our F&B offerings at the hotel. From the moment you hear him talking about his industry, you can instantly feel the passion he has for his work and this dedication, knowledge and encouraging spirit is just what we need to lead our F&B department to success,” commented Warwick Dubai general manager Bruno Hivon in a statement.
Bharucha now oversees in-room dining, events and the property's five F&B outlets: Deli Grind, Jimmy Wickets Sports Bar & Grill, Baÿty Restaurant, Zephry Rooftop Lounge and Zenses Restaurant.
