Sarah Jacotine, December 1st, 2016

Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Heights has appointed Jose Rocha as director of food & beverage/culinary operations.

He joins the hotel, located in Dubai Healthcare City, from Hyatt Regency Dubai, where he was executive chef.

He will oversee the entire culinary and F&B operation of the property, including six restaurants and bars, as well as banquet facilities.

Rocha commented: “I am very excited and thankful for being granted this new responsibility. I look forward to a new story to live and tell at Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Heights, which will certainly be an inspiring challenge in my career."

Rocha began his studies at the Business Administration College in Cancun, although his love for the culinary world started at a young age when he used to work at his family’s bakery in his hometown of Campeche, Mexico.

With a career spanning more than 30 years at Hyatt, his work first took him to different parts of Asia, before returning back to Mexico to take on the position of executive sous chef in Acapulco in 1994.

One year later he was promoted to executive chef and left Acapulco in 2001 to transfer to Hyatt Regency Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt.
