B&O Play by Bang & Olufsen

Featuring an omni-directional sound feature for a flat speaker, True360 ensures that everyone listening to the portable speaker enjoys equally good sound. BeoPlay A2 is a two-channel speaker — with two channels on each side of the device applying a new Bang & Olufsen solution called ”Power Response Enhancement”. It includes an extra tweeter on the rear side of the main driver that gives an even higher frequency radiation around the edges. Combined with the main speaker drivers’ omni-directional sound dispersion at low frequencies, this results in what the company terms as a ‘True360 sound experience’. Designed by Danish industrial designer Cecilie Manz, BeoPlay A2 has a flat design with two polymer shells and a rock solid aluminium core. The speaker also features Bluetooth technology.

AEI Communications

The latest innovation from AEI communications is to replace the DECT master phones with the company’s new Gateway model. These phones can monitor and control up to 15 SIP extensions within a room or suite. Although all the phones within the room or suite are connected to the network, only the Gateway master phone communicates directly with the PBX. All other phones within the room communicate via the Gateway master phone so that only one SIP licence is required (single line phones). If the Gateway master phone becomes disconnected or fails, for any reason, one of the other predefined phones will register to the PBX in place of the Gateway phone so that there will always be a working phone in the room or suite. DECT accessory phones are a common sight in hotel rooms for their reduced costs on SIP licences; however, DECT master phones are known to fail and that’s where the Gateway model steps in.

Dyson Airblade V

The Dyson Airblade does not feature a conventional digital motor, which tends to be bulky and slow, and can also be inefficient. They also rely on carbon brushes, which wear out over time. The Dyson digital motor V4 is different. It’s both compact and powerful, and instead of carbon brushes, it uses digital pulse technology to spin up to three times faster than a conventional motor. Dyson Airblade hand dryers have HEPA filters installed as standard, which capture 99.9% of particles the size of bacteria from the washroom air. So, hands are dried with cleaner air, not dirty air. Technology in the Dyson Aiblade lets the Dyson digital motor V4 to draw in up to 35 litres of air through a HEPA filter, and forces it through apertures up to 0.8 mm wide. The result is 430mph sheets of filtered air that scrape water from hands, drying them quickly and hygienically.
