Rixos The Palm Dubai claims it saw a 12% increase in occupancy rates in 2016 as compared to the previous year reaching its target of 90%, according to a release.

“While the market is dropping by 10-12%, we have a 20% increase in occupany compared to the current market in Dubai. These statistics look promising and we are eager to end the year on a positive note. Next year, we are targeting a 91% year-round occupancy as the first quarter of 2017 displays great potential, a consistency we would like to maintain.” said Rixos Hotels senior vice president of operations Erkan Yildirim.

According to some more statistics, 25% of the guests who stayed at Rixos The Palm Dubai were returning guests and for 2017 the resort management will aim for 35% returning guests.

The company will open another hotel on Abu Dhabi’s Saadiyat Island in 2018 and Dubai's JBR in 2017.

It already operates two hotels in the UAE - Rixos The Palm Dubai and Rixos Bab Al Bahr, Ras Al Khaimah.

Established in 2000, Rixos Hotels has 27 hotels in countries such as Turkey, the UAE, Croatia, Switzerland, Egypt and Kazakhstan. It expects to add 32 new projects globally by 2018.

The next Rixos Hotels in the UAE will be located on Jumeirah Beach.
