Lapita, part of Marriott International’s Autograph Collection, has opened its doors to guests.
Lapita Hotel, which is located in the Dubai Parks and Resorts, is a Polynesian themed resort hotel, with a tribal atmosphere.
The hotel’s name was inspired by the pre-historic people of the Pacific Ocean and their journey and settlement on the islands - the Lapita movement.
The Polynesian theme is carried over to the guest rooms and children’s activity areas.
Lapita has 504 rooms, including 60 suites and three private villas.
On the F&B front Waka will offer international cuisine and live entertainment in the all-day dining concept. Whereas Ari - a pool bar and restaurant – will serve a Mediterranean selection.
Hikina will serve traditional Cantonese dishes with a contemporary touch.
Lapita will also feature Palama - a lobby lounge and a rooftop bar, Lani.
Ola (meaning life, health and well-being) is Lapita’s spa which has 11 treatment rooms including a couple’s suite, hammam room, wellness facilities, aromatherapy steam rooms, saunas, vitality pools and ice fountains.
The hotel will also offer six meeting rooms and a 710m2 Tamure ballroom.
Dubai Parks and Resorts comprises three theme parks: Bollywood Parks Dubai, Motiongate Dubai, Legoland Park and a Legoland Water Park.
