Luxury chocolate maker Patchi is expanding its business in the UAE with five new retail outlets set to open in 2017 as well as two new warehouses.

Construction work has started on Patchi’s new warehouse in Al Quoz, which will be a packaging unit, while work on a warehouse in Dubai Investment Park has yet to begin. This facility will be a chocolate and malt producing unit.

Semi-wrapped chocolate will arrive at the Patchi Al Quoz warehouse to be further decorated for sale to retailers, sister title Construction Week reported.

CEO of Patchi UAE Oussama Choucair commented: “We are committed to strengthening Patchi’s presence in the UAE, where we opened our first boutique over 33 years ago, through the re-construction of our new state-of-the-art and sustainable offices.

"This new development is a testament to our belief that the UAE is the best place to set up our operation to cater for our ever expanding network of boutiques.”
