Anantara will host its second annual kite festival on Sir Bani Yas Island on Friday, February 3, 2017, according to a latest release.
The day begins at 11am with families making their own kites and then flying themon the beaches. They will offer complimentary sausage sizzle and music until 5pm, as a mini adventure park sponsored by Adventure HQ and beach games that will include kayaking and archery.
For guests to enjoy the fun it’s not mandatory to fly a kite to come along to the event.
“We as Anantara Team, have started to count down to Kite Fest 2017 and are looking forward to welcoming new faces, as well as returning visitors to Sir Bani Yas Island this year. I am especially excited about the new contest category we have created for this year’s event and I am curious to see which impressive kite creations our guests will come up with,” said general manager, Christian Gerart.
While last year’s winners were awarded for the smallest, largest and most creative kites, Anantara Sir Bani Yas Island introduces a new contest category this year. The contestant with the most outstanding kite shaped like an animal will take home one of Anantara’s prizes.
Entries are free for Anantara Sir Bani Yas Island Resorts’ guests. Day visitors get to enjoy the festivities for AED150 (USD $40) per adult and AED 100 ( $27) per child. The package includes boat transfer and transportation on the island to the event. Registration is required.
