Louvre Hotels Group has acquired majority stake in India’s Sarovar Hotels.

Sarovar Hotels has 75 hotels in the premium, mid-range and budget sectors, through three leading brands in India.

The group also has two established F&B brands, The Geoffrey’s Pub and the Oriental Blossom, and manages the lodging and catering facilities of various institutions in India.

Furthermore, the group manages 12 hotels under the Radisson, Park Plaza and Park Inn brands.

Over the last five years the group has grown from 4,500 to nearly 6,000 rooms in over 50 cities.

More recently, Sarovar has also targeted development in East Africa, which strengthens Louvre Hotels Group’s position in that region.

Founded in 1994 by Anil Madhok, Sarovar Hotels is also run by Ajay K Bakaya and Mansoor Adil, who have developed the company to its current stature.
