The first Russian Visa Application Centre in the Middle East has been launched in Dubai by outsourcing specialist VFS Global, in partnership with the Consulate General of the Russian Federation, according to Arabian Business.

The move is aimed at keeping up with the growing number of Russian visa applications from UAE residents and enhancing the overall process for travellers to Russia, according to Consul General of the Russian Federation in Dubai and the Northern Emirates Gocha Buachidze.

“The Government of the Russian Federation aims to provide quicker and more convenient services to travellers to Russia. We look forward to the continual advancement of travel and business to our country and we are confident that this new centre will effectively meet the growing visa demand from applicants,” he said.

The UAE is the 11th country globally where VFS Global has rolled out visa processing operations for the Eurasian country.

Residents of the UAE can submit their visa applications at the new centre located at Wafi Mall, Umm Hurair 2.
