Sheikh Mohammed surprises Madinat Jumeirah guests

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, had a bit of a surprise in store for guests at Madinat Jumeirah last weekend. Hotelier Middle East can confirm that the Dubai ruler visited the hotel.

Pictures on social media show Sheikh Mohammed walking outside Anar restaurant while stunned diners looked on. There were traffic snarls in Jumeirah as people rushed to get a glimpse of the ruler on Saturday (January 28). He was also seen walking along the beachfront near the Burj Al Arab. The hotel was not available for comment.

This is not the first time the Dubai ruler has surprised visitors. He was earlier spotted at Jumeirah Al Naseem and Dubai International Airport.

Just last weekend, Shaikh Mohammad visited the Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi.
