Play Restaurant & Lounge has appointed a new bar manager and head mixologist, who has revamped the outlet's beverage menu.
Lukas S. Jehlicka's cocktails are rooted in hand-made recipes, with elaborate garnishes and customised elements, now available at Play, which opened on New Year's Eve 2015.
Jehlicka started his career at the age of 14 in hospitality school in Prague, Czech Republic.
After he completed his studies he began working with Gordon Ramsay, Play said in a statement, before he then moved to London to work at multiple restaurants, such as China Tang at The Dorchester, Bassoon Bar at The Corinthia, Supper Club and at the Royal Automotive Club.
During his time in the UK, he took part in several competitions that brought him international recognition and led him to develop global bar concepts with The Crystal Group and Entourage Group, as lead consultant bar manager.
He worked in this role in Beirut, Amsterdam and Casablanca before settling in Dubai.
