Giselle Denis to paint live at Raffles Dubai

Raffles Dubai is set to welcome Canadian fine artist Giselle Denis for a performance painting residency at the hotel.

Giselle will create her nature-inspired artwork live for hotel guests from March 1 to March 17 in Raffles Salon, Solo Italian Restaurant & Bar, as well as Raffles Garden, providing an artistic element to the property’s weekly Friday brunch.

Raffles Dubai general manger Ayman Gharib said in a statement: “We are delighted to welcome Giselle to Raffles and we know her performance painting will be an engaging and special addition to the experience of our guests. We are very excited to see the artwork she will create during her residency, and trust that both the exquisite design of our hotel and the dynamic city of Dubai will provide great inspiration.”

Giselle Denis, whose paintings have sold for up to $50,000 at auction, added: "I am delighted to have the opportunity to visit Dubai and to paint for the guests of Raffles hotel. To share my creative process in a live setting is a true joy. My approach to painting is quick and intuitive which I know people will enjoy watching."
