New mobile applications target Arab travellers

Rahlat.com recently unveiled its new Android and iOS mobile applications targeting Arab travellers who are avid phone and tablet device users.

The applications compare hotel and flight ticket prices on a single platform in Arabic and English languages.

Rahlat CEO Elie Messo said that the applications only require users to fill in details such as travel dates and destination, number of adults and children. Search takes place with a single click for the application to compare the lowest hotel and flight ticket prices in Arabic and English languages across a huge number of websites.

Since the launch in early February, more than 60,000 users have downloaded both applications. According to Rahlat.com, users are coming from Arab countries, such as Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Egypt. In addition, the company expects more than 200,000 additional application downloads before the end of the year. Real-time chat support in Arabic and English, currently available on the company website, will be added to mobile applications in future.
