La Marquise International announced that it is now the exclusive distibutor of Chocolaterie Monbana products for the foodservice sector in the UAE, Oman and Qatar, marketing manager Olga Mirtova revealed during an interview at Gulfood 2017.
Mirtova cited variety of products by the French producer of gourmet chocolate and chocolate powder for drinks, its medium to premium price points and service flexibility as differentiators in the marketplace.
"Our clients can play with these different flavours, such as white chocolate and dark chocolate, and introduce different recipes for mocktails and cocktails," Mirtova said. She added that the dark chocolate presently has two textures on offer, the Italian Style, offering a thick and dense texture, and the Tresor, with an intensely liquid texture and taste.
Monbana has developed a range of recipes for its products but also offers service flexibility with its UAE-based resident barista and mixologist who can work closely with Monbana's clients to create customised recipes for clients, conduct demos and training workshops.
"Monbana currently holds 60% market share in foodservice and retail in France so it's a very strong, well recognised brand in the European community," Mirtova declared. "It is growing very well in South Asia, Africa and the Middle East."
