Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham JBR, headed by general manager Samer Rafie, paid a personal visit to Dubai Centre for Special Needs (DCSN) to hand over a cheque donation worth AED 5,000 to the school. The cheque was received by director Mahshid Salahi and public relations manager Maya Choueiri, with a musical programme presented by the centre's students as a gesture of appreciation for the hotel's support..
“It is my first time to visit DCSN and it is a very heart-warming and rewarding experience to be welcomed by the kids and to witness the wonderful presentation. DCSN is assured of our commitment to the organization and we hope to inspire others to join altruistic causes and reach out to the community,” Rafie said.
The hotel donation was raised via voluntary guest contributions and handicrafts sales, including ceramics, paintings and accessories created by the DCSN students. The hotel's fundraising initiatives for the centre began in 2014.
