Crockery brand Steelite takes centre stage in A. Ronai’s 2017 portfolio of new tabletop products, introducing the new ‘Scape’ and ‘Willow’ collections, A. Ronai managing director Gavin Dodd recently informed Hotelier Qatar.
Dodd revealed: “‘Scape’ explores a multi material approach with the unique ability to transition between dining styles using chinaware, melamine and glass combined to create an innovative dining experience. ‘Willow’ has been designed for fine dining and exceptional presentation with its collection of wide rim gourmet plates.”
He added:“Stoneware and porcelain also feature in the new range with a mix of colours available."
Aside from tabletop products, A. Ronai has recently launched a new lighting collection and is set to further expand its hospitality apparel line. “Insight Cordless Lighting’s assortment of LED lights provides the perfect ambience for any environment,” Dodd said.
“Our ‘Uniforms by Ronai’ catalogue continues to grow with a host of clothing lines suitable for the entire industry. In line with Gulf Hospitality Week in September, the catalogue will feature a collection of new fabrics and enhancements to increase the range.”
Hoteliers and F&B operators in Doha will be able to engage with Dodd and A. Ronai at the upcoming Hotelier Middle East Qatar Hospitality Summit to be held on April 11, 2017 at Grand Hyatt Doha.
Dodd shared his optimism about Qatar’s future business prospects with Hotelier Qatar and Ronai’s continuing support for the summit.
“We are excited to see the increase in hotels, restaurants and shopping malls throughout Qatar, attracting visitors to the country. We have a variety of products suitable for all budgets so look forward to working together with these new properties on a range of requirements including tableware and uniforms,” Dodd disclosed.
“Ronai is extremely happy to support the Qatar Hospitality Summit again this year. We very much believe in supporting the great industry that we are a part of and events as professional as this are a great way of achieving our aim,” Dodd said. “With the expected increase in properties in Qatar in the coming years, it is important for all related companies to stay ahead of the game, building and retaining crucial relationships with hospitality industry professionals,” he added.
Expressing his expectations for the summit, Dodd said: “We would expect visitors to the event to discuss a range of subjects including how to promote their properties to a wider audience and encourage increased footfall / occupancy. Combined with revenue management, marketing and concept, these are crucial to all new properties.”
Dodd said he recognises the current challenges being faced by hotel GMs on the ground in Qatar, explaining: “With the emergence of a variety of new hotels and restaurants, increased competition is sure to be a challenge for GMs.”
“Ensuring that you have the right combination in terms of atmosphere, location and well trained staff will be a test for all those involved but one where they are currently succeeding, ” Dodd concluded.
