Elisabeth Hintermann Elisabeth Hintermann

Mühldorfer CEO Elisabeth Hintermann expects an "enormous boom in the hotel industry" in 2017 and reveals that 72% of all hotel guests say that a comfortable bed is the most decisive factor in selecting a hotel.

She said: "Housekeeping management is responsible for this important part."

While many hotels are due to open in the Middle East region and have to create their own style, Hintermann said: "Good sleep is generally always in demand; guests just want to have a good night’s rest during their hotel stay. The bed is an essential part, no matter which segment and category."

And with the high standard of hotels as well as guest demands, along with the Expo 2020 win, Hintermann expects a boom in the industry, with many new projects announced and in the pipeline.

In light of these high standards, Mühldorfer has launched its latest product, Bio-Nature. Hintermann revealed: "This new product line is produced on the basis of carefully chosen untreated and natural 100% cotton qualities from pesticide-free farming, which are subject to a particularly gentle process – unbleached and undyed, no chemicals are used for yarning and filled with selected downs."

Mühldorfer is set to sponsor the upcoming Hotelier Middle East: Executive Housekeeper Forum and meet housekeepers who will be discussing the important issues of their sector.
