Dubai eatery Fume closes its Downtown branch

Sarakshi Rai, March 27th, 2017

The popular Dubai eatery Fume has shut down its Manzil Downtown Dubai branch. The European-Asian fusion restaurant which is popular in Dubai Marina's Pier 7, opened its second Dubai location in Manzil Downtown Dubai in 2015.

Hotelier Middle East spoke to the PR spokesperson who said that the decision to shut was a "management decision".

"We had been told that the branch would close sometime around the end of the month and we decided that today was the day and posted it on social media."

However Jas Hospitality, the company behind the homegrown brand refused to comment on why it decided to shut down the Downtown Dubai branch.

The restaurant served over 200 diners, across two floors and a terrace with views of the Burj Khalifa.

Jas Hospitality previously also had Qbara Restaurant Lounge & Bar in Wafi under its purview which shut in 2016.

The eatery said on its official instagram handle: "It’s with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our Downtown branch. But, the good times will continue to roll at Fume in Pier 7 Dubai Marina. See you all there!"
