Gaucho Dubai will host Malbec Month in April. Gaucho Dubai will host Malbec Month in April.

Gaucho Dubai is extolling the benefits of pairing Argentinian ingredients, namely Malbec and meat.

Known for its dark fruit flavours, Malbec offers an (often price-conscious) alternative to other grapes.

Last week special guest Diane Joyaux Fabre, who founded the Fabre Montmayou winery in Argentina’s Mendoza region with her husband Hervé, was on hand to talk about the different styles of Malbec that they produce.

Speaking to Caterer Middle East, Gaucho director of wines Phil Crozier said: “The match of Malbec with beef is one of the great gastronomic 'no brainers'. It is both a cultural and sensory experience, and comes from one of the great food and wines countries of the world — Argentina.”

Gaucho will host pairing dinners on Wednesdays throughout April with a three-course menu that incorporates three special cuts of meat including Chorizo, Ancho and Churrasco Lomo.

Wine experts from MMI and African & Eastern will be in attendance to take guests through various Malbec pairings from wineries including Zuccardi, Catena, Terrazas and grapes from Corte G collection that are exclusive to Gaucho.
