The Capital Club Dubai has appointed Ian Palmer, a hospitality industry veteran with three decades of experience in international hotel operations, as its new general manager.
“With his stellar international work record and refreshing outlook of the hospitality industry we are delighted to have Ian Palmer onboard as general manager. Over the next few months, the Capital Club will see some noticeable changes ensuring that we retain our place as the most prestigious private business club in the region," said Signature Clubs International CEO Daniel Forster.

Palmer hails from London and started his career in 1991 with the Savoy Group of Hotels and Restaurants. He has been responsible for setting up, re-establishing and working with a number of hotels and clubs in the UK, including: Stapleford Park Golf and Country Club, Home House, The Arts Club, Kofler & Kompanie, Buddha Bar and The Club at Café Royal. In his last role, Palmer held the position of general manager of the Devonshire Club, setting the business up from conception to execution over a period of two years and launched in early 2016
As general manager of Capital Club Dubai, Palmer will be responsible for overseeing and managing the team, its long-term strategy and overall operations. His mandate includes reviving the club by identifying and implementing new practices, expansion and improving membership communications.
