Desert Palm Per Aquum is undergoing room feature as well as F&B outlet upgrades ahead of the property's 10th year anniversary in 2018, general manager James Reeves disclosed during an interview at ATM 2017 in Dubai.

"We’re always developing; we’re always improving  our offerings for our customers. This year we’re focusing a lot on sleep. The hotel has been renowned among our customers for having a great sleep system. Guests always comment on the comfort of he mattresses, comfort of the pillows, the duvets, the fabrics that we use. We wanted to revisit that since we’re coming up to our 10th year anniversary next year in March," Reeves declared.

He continued:"We've gone back and looked at our bedding and made a list of improvements which are coming into effect in the next two months. We have introduced two oversize pillows, down and duck feather. We've also looked at the mattress topper and now also have a down & feather topper. We've also looked at the linens that we’re using and we’re going up to a 400-thread count for our duvets and sheets and our linens."

Reeves also shared that all villas in the property will have upgraded flat-screen TVs this year alongside the addition of Bose sound bars for an enhanced viewing experience. As for F&B outlets, the property's signature restaurant Rare recently had UK-manufactured, asado-inspired wood-fired grill installed; the property's all day dining restaurant Epicure is also seeing upgrades, with the addition of new refrigeration and cooling equipment and a new gelato counter.
