Chef Theodor Falser, who has two Michelin stars for his restaurant in Italy, is known for his brand of gourmet Italian cuisine using wild herbs and vegetables to create the traditional dishes from his native Italy.
Falser’s visit begins on May 5 with a seven course opening meal paired with a wine selected by Alessandro Vallecchi of Marchesi di Barolo Wineries.
Taking place at Capri Court, Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa’s contemporary stylish Italian restaurant located in Al Bandar from May 6 - 10, the visiting chef’s à la carte menu will feature dishes such as Omani tuna tartare, pumpkin risotto, black ink tagliolini, beef cheek ravioli, lamb osso buco, mascarpone rhubarb and camomile crumble and grapefruit gelatine.
Speaking about the chef’s visit, Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa executive chef Shane O’Neill said: “We look forward to welcoming Chef Theodor to Capri Court as a guest chef. His innovative dishes are savoured the world over, and our guests are in for a very special treat. We are lucky to have this opportunity with such a world-class chef at Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa.”
Chef Theodor has a strong connection with Oman — his passion for food and creative signature cuisine started many years ago during his first stint working in Muscat before he moved to Kuala Lumpar to work with Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts.
