Hakaya Collection has appointed chef Leba Joseph Makhoul as the new chef de cuisine for its Levantine outlet, Yansoon Restaurant in Ras Al Khaimah.

Makhoul brings with him over 20 years experience in delivering the Lebanese and Armenian cuisine.

“A lot of my clients say my dishes take them back to a special moment in their childhood,” said Makhoul. “I take great pride in this and look forward to bringing the same spirit and passion to the Yansoon kitchen.”

“With my new seasoned culinary team by my side, I look forward to delivering Yansoon’s Ramadan menu this year and creating new and inspired Levantine dishes. I’m excited to showcase my signature style and of course my own dessert range that I’ve passionately perfected over the years,” Makhoul added.

Hakaya Collection director of operations Steven Bishop said: “Leba adds a vibrant new facet to Yansoon’s culinary team. I have no doubt that our diners at Yansoon will enjoy the fresh approach he will bring to each dish.”

Most recently, Makhoul worked at Mayrig Restaurant, the Lebanese and Armenian restaurant with branches across Dubai and Lebanon.
