A recent YouGov study focused on issues related to food wastage has released its findings.

The study found that the top source of food wastage in the UAE, Egypt and Saudi Arabia is left over or discarded food in restaurants (32%), followed by extra food cooked for celebrations that gets thrown away (30%).

YouGov is a market research company, with offices across Europe, the US, the Middle East, North Africa and Asia. With their global online panel, suite of syndicated products, and full spectrum of custom research solutions, they aim to offer businesses a more accurate, more actionable representation of information.

To compile the data, a total of 1844 YouGov panellists were surveyed across UAE (559), KSA (580), and Egypt (705).
