Sarakshi Rai, August 13th, 2017

Documents showing US President Donald Trump's flagship Washington hotel made nearly US $2m profit in the first four months of 2017 have been deleted after they were posted online by accident, reports US media.

The Washington Post reports that the company was forecasted to lose $2.1 million during that same time period when it opened late last year.

According to The Hill, the DC hotel upped its rates after Trump became President.

According to Fortune magazine, guests in 2017 spent an average of $652.98 a night, beating company expectations by 57%.

The General Services Administration (GSA) pulled the unredacted documents from its website on Thursday after it accidentally released the information.
