Al Bustan Centre and Residence in Dubai has launched an integrated Building Management System (BMS)  in a bid to reduce energy costs while increasing the productivity of its machinery across the property.

The fully automated system controls and monitors Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) facilities in the hotel apartments. The initiative has been launched to reduce energy consumption and manage costs, whilst enhancing guest experience and comfort, as the system allows a high degree of personal control over the guestroom environment.

With lighting alone typically accounting for 25% of an organisation’s electricity consumption, control of the room environment by the guest and hotel when the room is unoccupied will significantly reduces energy costs.

"We are proud to launch the hotel-apartments management system for light, temperature and blind control that integrates with building management systems. The solutions are contemporary designed, energy efficient control options that help differentiate a property or hotel, where guests can step into a room in which lights and shades automatically adjust to a predetermined welcome scene. This is a milestone project in developing better ways to enhance the property infrastructure and the betterment in the long run,” said Al Bustan Centre and Residence chief operating officer Moussa El Hayek.
