The two Park Inn by Radisson Hotels in Oman have been awarded the Safehotels certifications once again this year.
A Safehotels Alliance’s certification demonstrates that a hotel emphases on crucial features of guest safety, personal property, and is able to provide the right response if an incident or any kind of emergency occurs during a guests stay.
Park Inn Muscat has secured its premium level certification for three years in a row and Park Inn Duqm has achieved an upgrade from basic to premium level for this year.
“Safehotels certification confirms that the hotel focuses on key elements of guest security relating to personal property and has appropriate response plans if ever there is an accident or any kind of emergency. The certificate shows the hotel is sincere in its guest’s personal well-being,” said Hans Kanold, CEO for Safehotels Alliance AB.
Nuno Neves, cluster general manager for Park Inn Muscat & Park Inn Duqm said: “The safety and security of our guests is something we take very seriously and we want to safeguard our hotels’ employees are as ready as possible for any situation that may take place.
“The one element in this certification is about prevention. Preventing things to happen and the employees are ready for any circumstances that may occur. I thank all the staff for their dedication for maintaining the standards and implementing it on their daily task.”
Safehotels has evaluated the two hotel’s existing self-assessment internal hotel security programme through monitoring, reviewing and reporting on the self-assessment hotel database and submittals. The hotel go through a number of criteria including security equipment, staff awareness and training, fire security and first aid.
“We make sure that all the criteria’s are being followed, updated and well maintain on a daily basis,” said Irfan Ahmed cluster chief engineer for Park Inn Muscat & Park Inn Duqm.
