Maintaining corporate databases is extremely crucial in today’s transient community, according to Meeting Minds Experts general manager Medhat Nassar.

“Validating a database before organising an event is crucial for companies in this region because people change their jobs and move roles within their organisation so often,” said Nassar.

MCI project director Ajay Bhojwani also said that building and refining a database of delegates should be an ongoing priority for companies.

“Once it goes dead, as an events company we’ll have to start rebuilding the database around four months prior to the event.

This is a significant extra cost for the client and often as soon as the event is over the database will again become void because it is not maintained,” he said.

Congress International Solutions (CSI) business development manager Alexandre Lolliot supported this; he said “a comprehensive database should include all the demographics of the target audience, including gender, age and corporate profile.”
