Nayla Chowdhury has been appointed general manager of the 420-key Hampton by Hilton Dubai Al Qusais, which will mark the brand's debut in the Middle East upon opening next year.
Chowdhury moves to Dubai from Ras Al Khaimah, where she had served as the hotel manager of Doubletree by Hilton, the first woman within the Hilton group to hold such a post in the Arabian peninsula region.
Chowdhury comes with over 20 years of operational and commercial experience in multiple full service brands within the Hilton family in the United States and the UAE. She has led teams to consistently exceed revenue targets, maximise profitability and deliver projected owners' return.
Prior to being in the UAE, Chowdhury had served in the general manager role for a number of full service properties in the United States, including Hilton Mclean, Embassy Suites Washington DC and Embassy Suites Tysons Corner. She also held the post of director of sales and marketing for Embassy Suites Crystal City and Doubletree Hotel Crystal City.
