Jumeirah Vittaveli brings a new first to the Maldives this festive season with the opening of the destination’s first ice rink.

It will be launched in the next few weeks.

Amit Majumder, general manager of Jumeirah Vittaveli commented, “The ice rink is a perfect demonstration of our ongoing efforts that always aims to ‘wow’ our guests. We have many guests coming back to us and the positive feedback that we often receive is that its due to the surprise elements in our offerings. Apart from the ice rink, we have some exciting changes in our rooms and dining outlets upcoming, which we will announce soon.”

The resort’s management built the ice rink in partnership with Glice, a company that manufactures artificial ice plates, offering ice skating indoor and outdoor anytime and in any climate conditions. Glice uses special technologies that allows the ice rink to function entirely without water and at a zero-energy level.
