Al Bustan Centre & Residence hosted the delegates and participants of the Asian Para Youth Games Dubai in December 2017.
Held under the patronage of Crown Prince of Dubai and chairman of Dubai Sports Council (DSC) His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the sporting event has served as an avenue to explore the potential of people of determination.
The tournament saw 30 participating countries coming primarily from Asian and Arab nations including: Kuwait, Bahrain, Iraq, Phillipines, Iran, Korea, HongKong, Indonesia, Vietnam, Saudi, Malaysia, India , Singapore, Japan, Kazakhstan, Krygistan, Thailand, Saudi Arabia and the competition host, the UAE.
The entire entourage included 800 athletes and 500 team officials, coaches and their teams, who all stayed at Al Bustan and were scheduled for competitions at the Dubai Club for the People of Determination.
H.E. Majid Abdulla Al Usaini, president of the Asian Paralympic Committee, visited the property during the participants’ stay and expressed his view that he was extremely pleased to see the arrangements made for the event.
