Saba Rotana receives approval from DTCM to begin 5-star hotel construction

Sabah Rotana has been granted approval to begin construction of a property under category rating of 5-star and Tourism property by the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM).

Sabah Rotana is a collaboration between property developers, RSG Properties and Rotana. The property will be a 54-storey property with 533 rooms and serviced apartments. The upcoming property is situated on Sheikh Zayed Road, in the prime neighbourhood of Sufouh Gardens and will offer views of the Burj Khalifa and Palm Jumeirah.

The validation from DTCM follows a stringent multi-layered framework to rate each property and reinforce the high standards of the industry.

RSG Properties owner & chairman Raj Sahni said: “The pre-approval by DTCM for the construction of Sabah Rotana, a five-star hotel and hotel apartments project, is another milestone for RSG Properties. The towering structure will feature spacious rooms, executive suites and presidential suites. Additionally, the property will include studios, one and two-bedroom hotel or hotel apartments for its guests.

The hotel will also offer in-house entertainment and consists of F&B outlets, MICE facilities with modern equipment, deli’s as well as nightclubs, including one on the roof. Sabah Rotana is scheduled to open in Q2 of 2020, a statement said.
