Crowne Plaza Dubai appoints director of conferences & events

Ian Jackson has joined the Crowne Plaza Dubai, located on Sheikh Zayed Road, as its director of conferences & events.

Jackson started his hospitality career in Minnesota, USA before returning to his home country of Scotland where he worked at Dakota Hotel and Thistle Hotel in Glasgow.

He has been in the UAE since 2012, initially at the Hilton Worldwide, Ras Al Khaimah cluster, as the senior groups manager.

He joins Crowne Plaza from Waldorf Astoria where he was the assistant director of groups, conferences & events.
