Disruptive mobile application mobile app, Qpal, is changing the live events payment landscape across the UAE.

The cashless solution backed by Visa, changes the way attendees pay at live events by reducing service time at dedicated food and beverage outlets within the arena.

Offering users a quick, free and secure payment platform, Qpal uses the latest in mobile payment technology, integrating with digital payment methods such as Visa Checkout, Samsung Pay and Apple Pay. The mobile app allows event attendees to leave their cash and credit cards at home by paying at a touch of a button through their smartphone.

Qpal founder and CEO Craig Buchan commented: “Being avid event goers ourselves, we understand the frustration attendees can face at live events. Qpal was launched after growing tired of waiting in inexcusable queues at ATM’s and fumbling around at cash-only bars that lead to missing significant parts of the show.

Addressing live event pain points for the attendee, our ultra-fast mobile payments keep the flow of queues at F&B outlets going, and the instant top-up and refund process ensures users never run out of credit at the event. Ultimately, it leads to happy customers that have more time to spend enjoying the artists they came to see.”

RedFest DXB and catering partner Media One have recognised the injection of the app to the live events landscape.

Media One General Manager, Mark Lee, said “We’re looking forward to collaborating with Qpal and incorporating this new technology at Redfest DXB this year. This will hopefully allow us to streamline the payment process and ultimately enhance the guest experience.”
